On Saturday, the Longhorns held their annual Junior Day event and hosted a large number of star-studded visitors on the Forty Acres. Today, I will list all of the athletes who received an offer during their trip to the Forty Acres and will highlight two of these scholarship recipients.
Colton Vasek:
The 2023 three-star edge rusher was one of many individuals to receive an offer from the Longhorns on Saturday. During the 2021 football season, Vasek helped to anchor an always dominant Westlake defense, along with Texas signee Ethan Burke, and won Defensive MVP honors in Westlake’s state title win. Last season, the 6’6″ edge rusher tallied 56 tackles, 10 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Currently, Vasek has received 16 scholarship offers, most of which came after Vasek’s dominant three sack state title performance.
Dakorien Moore:
The 6’0″ Duncanville wide receiver became the first in-state recruit in the class of 2025 to receive an offer from Texas. Additionally, Dakorien Moore had himself a solid season at Duncanville, being featured quite heavily on a team that made it all the way to the title game. Furthermore, Moore showcased an ability throughout the playoffs to burn defenses and was one of a few freshmen that was able to make an impact on a powerhouse football program during his first year of high school football.
