On Monday, Longhorns freshman forward Jaylon Tyson entered the transfer portal, as first reported by Verbal Commits.
Tyson was the nation’s ninth-best small forward in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and followed Chris Beard to Texas after previously being committed to Texas Tech.
In eight appearances with the Longhorns during the ’21-’22 basketball season, the 6’6″ forward averaged 6.9 minutes of play and scored 1.8 points and recorded 1.1 rebounds per game.
