Texas unveiled its 2026-27 men’s basketball schedule Monday and the Longhorns’ schedule includes 18 games at Moody Center, a neutral-site game with Baylor in San Antonio, a match-up with Miami in Houston and a trip to Louisville for the SEC/ACC Challenge.
The schedule also includes a marquee non-conference home game against Memphis, two games in San Diego as part of the Rady Children’s Invitational and nine SEC home dates.
Later this month, tipoff times and television assignments will be announced. The SEC last announced its league schedule Monday, and eight midweek games still have to be set.
Texas opens the season Nov. 2 at home against Chicago State, then hosts Gardner-Webb on Nov. 5 and Grambling State on Nov. 9 to complete a three-game opening homestand. The Longhorns have never faced Grambling State in men’s basketball.
The non-conference schedule continues with Baylor in the San Antonio Hoops Showdown at Frost Bank Center on Nov. 15. Texas has an all-time 165-98 edge with the Bears, its most-played opponent.
After that, Texas returns home for games against Southern Utah on Nov. 19 and Southern Indiana on Nov. 22 and then travels to San Diego for the Rady Children’s Invitational. The Longhorns open the event against Georgetown on Nov. 26 at Jenny Craig Pavilion and then play either Saint Mary’s or UCLA on Nov. 27.
Texas then travels to Louisville on Dec. 1 for the SEC/ACC Challenge and plays Jackson State at home on Dec. 8. The Longhorns will face Miami (Fla.) in a neutral-site game at Houston’s Toyota Center on Dec. 12.
The final week of non-conference play features three home games against Memphis on Dec. 16, Prairie View A&M on Dec. 21 and East Texas A&M on Dec. 29. The Memphis series will continue with a return game in Memphis during the 2027-28 season.
The conference schedule at Moody Center includes visits from Florida on Jan. 2, Auburn on Jan. 12 or 13, Oklahoma on Jan. 16, Arkansas on Jan. 23, Kentucky on Jan. 30, Alabama on Feb. 9 or 10, Texas A&M on Feb. 16 or 17, Tennessee on Feb. 27 and Missouri on March 2 or 3.
