The 2027 Texas recruiting class received a big jolt Thursday afternoon with the commitment of DL Kasi Currie.
Currie ranks as the #2 DL in the country, per the 247sports rankings, and the #5 player overall in the state of California.
This is the second consecutive cycle the Longhorns have dipped into Sierra Canyon High School after signing 5-star DE Richard Wesley in the 2026 recruiting class.
Currie chose Texas over Ohio State, Georgia and Oregon.
The Longhorns now hold commitments from 13 players in the 2027 class, including 5 players ranked in the top 100 of the 247sports rankings.
