Torrodney Prevot told Rivals.com he has trimmed his list.
“I have been narrowing it down to a few schools like LSU, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC and Cal,” Prevot said. “I’ve been cutting it down a lot. It’s really those five. I’m still open though.  Anybody could still come in and recruit me because I’m not only looking at those five.”
In my opinion, this is a huge blow to the University of Texas defensive end recruiting. They were on this kid early and often and from what I heard really wanted him in the mix. It’s not the end of the world but with Daeshon Hall decommiting and going to Washington a few weeks ago, Manny Diaz will have to find other in-state defensive ends to recruit. The problem is that it is slim pickens as far as in-state prospects are concerned. I could potentially see Jake Raulerson moving to DE next season if Jackson Jeffcoat leaves early for the NFL draft, which is highly possible (Alex Okafor is a senior this year and will be gone next season). The Longhorns might have to look out of state or in the juco ranks to get a DE commitment or two in this class.
