The Longhorns will host one of 16 NCAA Regionals in Austin, Texas as announced on Sunday. Texas, with a 43-15 record, did not need to win the conference championship to steer a regional hosting their way. Regional play begins next Friday, June 3. The Longhorns should find out soon who their opponents are in the Austin regional. The field will include 64 teams comprised of at-large and automatic bid conference representation.
Other Texas and Big XII teams hosting regionals include:Â
- Texas A&M (College Station, TX)
- Rice University (Houston, TX)
