Texas continues to progress in the wardrobe department on an annual basis.  In 2012 it was the practice jerseys that received the makeover, but in 2013 Longhorn football players will be wearing revamped game jerseys by Nike. For all you Texas traditionalists that think Longhorn jerseys should not never be altered (I myself am one), we can relax. The changes are subtle and frankly, harmless. Nike’s flywire technology is behind the new composition, but the most noticeable change comes in the form of the Longhorn logo. YOU CANNOT MISS IT.  It resides front and center on the collar. Additionally, what you cannot see in the photo above is how far the “sleeve” numbers have been moved up on the shoulders.
The uniform changes will be accompanied by a new look for the pigskin too.  Home games will be see the ‘Horns using Nike’s Vapor Elite ball with a nice-sized Longhorn logo on it.

Now that we have the look settled, let’s go kick some tail on the field.
