Yesterday it was reported that Texas pitcher Parker French would undergo an MRI after he reported hearing a popping noise after he came out of the 5th inning against Missouri in Game 1 of the 3 game series in Columbia last weekend. We like most, thought everything was ok and that the MRI was only precautionary in nature. According to various sources it appears the MRI revealed a fracture in his right elbow which will force French to miss the remainder of the baseball season. The Dripping Springs, Texas native will not need surgery to repair the injury. French has an ERA of 2.84 with a record of 6-2 on the season in 66.2 innings pitched.
