The Texas Longhorns continued their recruiting momentum with the commitment of 2027 wide receiver Kyron Brown from Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas. Brown picks Texas over Northwestern and Kansas State.
A three-star prospect with significant upside, Brown is one of the top young athletes in the Texas Panhandle. The multi-sport standout qualified for the state track meet as a sophomore in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, showcasing the speed and athleticism that make him a dangerous weapon on the football field.
Brown is a smooth route runner with strong hands, excellent body control, and the ability to create plays after the catch. He excels in open space, using his explosiveness and athleticism to turn routine receptions into big gains. His versatility and natural playmaking ability make him an ideal fit for Steve Sarkisian’s offense.
With Brown now in the fold, Texas continues to add talent to its 2027 recruiting class. His combination of production, athleticism, and long-term potential gives the Longhorns another exciting offensive weapon for the future.
