The Texas targets in the class of 2025 include a talented group of playmakers, with a clear emphasis on tapping into the rich pool of in-state high school talent. Notably, four running backs are set to make the trip, including Deondrae Riden from Desoto, a versatile runner with a remarkable skill set. Riden, a four-star prospect, recently secured his second consecutive state title by rushing for 1,023 yards and scoring 12 touchdowns. His blend of speed, power, elusiveness, and homerun threat ability has garnered attention.

Another standout, Riley Wormley from Southlake Carroll, showcased his skills during a phenomenal season, contributing to a deep playoff run with 901 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns. Wormley’s ability to navigate tackles, change gears, evade defenders, and make impactful plays positions him prominently on the Longhorns’ radar. The focus on these in-state talents reflects the commitment to nurturing local excellence within the Texas Football program.

The wide receiver lineup for the 2025 class attending Junior Day at Texas showcases a remarkable blend of talent and versatility. Jacorey Watson from Shadow Creek High School in Pearland stands out for his multifaceted skills, seamlessly transitioning between quarterback, as well as wideout and he makes plays with the football in his hands. Watson’s versatility and playmaking ability make him a constant big-play threat.

Emmanuel Choice, hailing from Lancaster High School, brings a big-bodied presence to the wide receiver position. His impressive speed allows him to stretch the field, coupled with an extended catch radius that makes him formidable in contested situations, particularly on 50/50 grabs.

Jalen Cooper of Cibolo Steele High School is recognized as a route technician, demonstrating a combination of speed and burst to create separation at the second level. Additionally, Cooper excels in the open field and is a nightmare for defenders with his yard-after-catch proficiency. The Texas staff is undoubtedly keeping a close eye on these talented wide receivers who left their mark with impressive performances in the 2023 season.

Texas is making a significant effort to recruit top talent in the trenches, focusing on notable offensive linemen attending the Junior Day festivities. Ty Haywood from Denton Ryan is recognized for his physicality, exceptional athleticism, and a commitment to finishing blocks with authority, playing through the whistle.

Ryan Fodje of Bridgeland brings superb athleticism to the offensive line, featuring nimble feet and excellent short-area quickness. His skill set adds versatility to the line, making him a promising prospect.

Byron Washington, a towering presence at 6’8″ and 380 pounds, is set to make the trip to Austin from Desoto. His powerful and dominant play on the interior at Desoto has elevated his recruiting profile, and the Longhorns hold a high regard for Washington’s capabilities and his ability to play a “bully-ball” style of football shows his value. The emphasis on recruiting such talented linemen underscores Texas’ commitment to fortifying their presence in the trenches.

The tight end position has become a key weapon in the Longhorns’ offense, notably with the emergence of potential first-round pick JT Sanders in the last two seasons. Junior Day will see the attendance of promising tight end prospects, Nick Townsend from Spring Dekaney, and Kiotti Armstrong from Jasper.

Kiotti Armstrong stands out as a freakish athlete, boasting an extended arm reach and a 6’6″ frame that he effectively uses to shield off defenders, enabling him to consistently win contested catches. His versatility is evident on both sides of the ball, making him a formidable presence.

Nick Townsend, on the other hand, showcases his flexibility by being able to line up inline, in the slot, or out wide. Known for his speed and ability to make plays, Townsend excels in the open field, displaying an explosive burst at the second level. The emphasis on recruiting such dynamic tight ends reflects the Longhorns’ commitment to maintaining a potent and versatile offensive strategy.

The Texas Longhorns are set to welcome several notable defenders to the Forty Acres, including Lance Jackson of Pleasant Grove, Zion Williams of Lufkin, and Landon Rink of Cy Fair. These players stand out for their next-level athleticism, particularly contributing to the interior of the defense. Their presence reflects the Longhorns’ focus on recruiting dynamic and impactful players on the defensive side of the ball.

Jayden Shelton from South Oak Cliff, Riley Pettijohn from McKinney High School, and Elijah Barnes from Skyline, are several top prospects that Texas is actively recruiting to bolster its linebacker lineup for the upcoming seasons. The Junior Day Festivities for the class of 2025 will showcase a depth of talent that could contribute significantly to the team’s success.

Texas is set to host standout edge defenders Kamauryn Morgan of Red Oak and Chad Woodfork of Summer Creek. Additionally, the defensive backs will see strong representation with the inclusion of top safety Jonah Williams from Galveston Ball and Zay Gentry from McKinney High School. It seems like an eventful weekend with promising talents on display.

Class of 2026 Prospects Planning to Attend

Junior Day at Texas is set to welcome three key prospects from the class of 2026. Keep an eye out for Parish Episcopal wide receiver Jaylen Pile, running back Tradarian Ball, and running back Raycine Guillory – talented playmakers who could make a significant impact in the coming years. The future looks bright for Texas with such promising prospects on the horizon.

Class of 2027 Prospects Planning to Attend

The class of 2027 seems to be brimming with talent in Texas, and Junior Day in Austin will feature notable attendees who made a splash during their freshman seasons. Keep an eye on two freshmen All-Americans in Ethan Feaster, a highly skilled wide receiver from DeSoto High School, and Zane Rowe, an athletic phenom from Denton Guyer. Their early success suggests a promising future for these young talents.

Winning the Big 12 and the anticipation of moving to the SEC has undoubtedly created a buzz around the Texas Longhorns. With a talented list of attendees, including freshman standouts and promising players from various classes, there’s high potential for Texas to continue its success and solidify its status as a national power in college football.
