The NFL draft will have to wait for Quinn Ewers, who announced Thursday morning that he would return to Texas for the 2024 season.
Ewers threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2023, leading the Longhorns to a Big 12 championship and appearance in the College Football Playoff. The Southlake Carroll native has started 22 games across two seasons and will enter 2024 as one of the top QBs in the country.
With Charles Wright and Maalik Murphy departing the program this offseason, Texas is expected to carry 3 scholarship QBs into next season: Ewers, Arch Manning and Trey Owens.
