Longview Lobos four-star defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson, initially a TCU commit, decided to weigh his options carefully and make the best decision for his future.
On Monday, that choice became the Texas Longhorns.
The unanimous 12-5A first-team DT, and the #2 ranked DT prospect in this State, Henderson racked up 36 tackles (13 for a loss), 2 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown in just eight games this year, missing five due to injury.
The 6-1, 315-pounder is almost unblockable, doesn’t take plays off, and is an incredible addtion to the Longhorns defensive line. Henderson will be a January enrollee and should see immediate playing time next year.
Welcome to the 40 acres, young man.
