Entering it’s 40th season of Women’s Basketball, the Texas Longhorns look to be back on the way to the top in year two under Karen Aston. Texas returns all five starters from last seasons squad which started hot and was ranked in the top 15 before finishing 12-18, including 8th in the Big 12 with a 5-13 record.

Senior Guard Chassidy Fussell enters the year with 1,405 points and has led the Longhorns in scoring the last threee seasons.
Sophomore Imani McGee-Stafford was named Preseason All Big 12
Junior Nneka Enemkpali was named Honorable Mention Preseason All-Big 12.
The 2013 recruiting class looks to make as big an impact as the 2012 squad. The Horns welcome Forward Nekia Jones, center Kelsey Lang, center Lilley Vander Zee and junior Krystle Henderson.
Lang, Jones, and Taylor were ESPN Top 100 players
Henderson is was a member of the 2013 NJCAA National Championship team from Trinity Valley Community College.
The Longhorns were picked to finish 5th by the coaches.
