It’s Here!

Welcome to Texas High School football’s 2016 season! There is a lot of excitement in the air with the season openers looming this weekend.

We won’t have to wait long to see just how good some of these teams are that are ranked so high. The scheduling gods certainly delivered this year, pitting some awesome openers that give us even more reason to be excited.

Some sixteen weeks from now, we’ll be crowning new state champions. But for now, it’s WEEK #1 and everybody is 0-0. Who will emerge in each region of the state? What stars will come out of nowhere and make their names this season? Katy vs Westlake in Week 1? Are you kidding me?

The Texas Longhorns’ relatively small class of committed recruits all have reasonable to great chances of winning their district championships and moving on to the playoffs. We’ll keep up with them here week by week, providing their stats and team results.
