Multiple outlets are reporting and confirming that Texas has offered 4-star CB Kris Boyd’s younger brother, Demarco Boyd out of Gilmer High School. Demarco is a 2016 LB prospect and has garnered the interest of the Texas coaching staff for many months now. Demarco attended the Under the Lights Camp with his brother Kris back in July.
I talked to several sources about the offer and there was confusion as to whether or not an official offer was extended to Boyd (his brother Kris Boyd holds a UT offer).
At 3:10 pm I talked with the head coach at Gilmer who confirmed Demarco had not received an official offer from Texas. He explained that Demarco thought he was speaking with a coach from UT but was instead talking with a member of the media.
Again, according to Boyd’s coach at Gilmer no official offer has been extended but he did confirm that Texas is actively pursuing Demarco.
Boyd’s 2014 stats: He has rushed for 132 yds, 2 TD, 32 yds receiving + 49 tackles, 3.5 sacks, INT, FF.

Despite continued claims that Demarco Boyd has received an offer from UT, we are told that no official offer has been extended yet. This is from Boyd’s Head Coach at Gilmer, Jeff Traylor.
We were also told that an official offer is likely to come tomorrow (Thursday, 10/23).
