http://smcmorgantown.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/big-12-logo.jpgAfter being named #1 in the Big 12’s Preseason Media Poll, Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will take the stage first after Commissioner Bob Bowlsby’s introduction when media days gets underway in Dallas on Monday. Not surprising, a quarterback will not be joining the Pokes. Oklahoma State appears to be seesawing again this year between Clint Chelf and J.W. Walsh for the starting job. Like last year, expect both to share the role when it’s all said and done. The quarterback position among Big 12 teams, or lack thereof this year, seems to be the topic of choice when the conference is mentioned – and rightfully so. A load of conference firepower was lost under center between last season and now, with David Ash starting the 2013 season as the most tenured quarterback in the Big 12. Ash and Jake Heaps (Kansas) are the only two quarterbacks who made their way to Dallas to field questions from the media.
