5-Star Wide Receivers Set To Visit Texas In June

Three 5-star wide receiver targets are trending towards committing to Texas. Each of these talented pass catchers are set to officially visit Texas in June. These prospects are crucial targets in the Longhorns’ 2025 recruiting class and securing their commitments would significantly bolster the team’s offensive potential. Here are the standout receivers high on Texas’ recruiting board.

Dakorien Moore
Duncanville High School (Tx)
Status: Decommitted from LSU in April
Top Three: Texas, Oregon, Ohio State

Longhorns Secure Commitment from North Forney Star Briceson Thrower Jr.

Official Visit: June 14
Scouting Report: Moore is the number one wide receiver in the class of 2025 in the country. He is the total package at the wide receiver position, boasting speed, superb route running, great hands, and big play ability. In 2023, he recorded 71 receptions for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns. Moore has been on the Longhorns radar since they offered him in 2022 and he is one of three top receiving targets that Texas is high on.

Jaime Ffrench
High School: Mandarin High School (Jacksonville, Florida)
Height/Weight: 6’1″, 185 pounds
Top Schools: Texas (top choice), LSU, Miami

Official Visit: June 21
Scouting Report: Ffrench is a big-body target and a superb route runner. He has great hands and possesses the speed to turn a short gain into a house call for six. In his stellar junior season in 2023, he recorded 62 receptions for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns. Texas is his top choice, making him a prime target for the Longhorns.

Kaliq Lockett
High School: Sachse High School (Tx)
Height/Weight: 6’2″, 175 pounds
Top Schools:
LSU, Texas A&M, Florida State

Official Visit: June 21
Scouting Report: Lockett is a big target with great hands and precise route-running skills. He has strong hands, a large catch radius combined with elite body control that makes him the ultimate offensive weapon. In 2023, he recorded 59 receptions for 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns, making him a top wide receiver target for Texas in the 2025 recruiting class.

The Longhorns are aiming to build a formidable receiving corps with these top-tier talents, each bringing unique strengths that could significantly enhance their offensive firepower. The month of June will see each of these top flight recruits head to Austin as the Longhorns attempt to close the deal on three of the top receivers in the country.
