As if the drama surrounding Major Applewhite’s one-time affair with an adult student wasn’t enough… According to the Travis County Sherriff’s Office , University of Texas quarterback Connor Brewer was arrested early Saturday morning for public intoxication, posessing alcohol as a minor and a related traffic offense. Brewer was arrested by the University of Texas police department and booked by Travis County Sherrifs at 2:49 am.

Brewer, a redshirt freshman from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, was one of a handful of quarterbacks thought to compete against David Ash for a shot as the starter at quarterback next season.
