“We’re aware of the situation with Christian Scott and disappointed any time one of our players is accused of wrongdoing. We’ve talked to Christian and his family, and he has been suspended from all activities with our football team. Following the completion of the legal process, we will do what’s best for The University, Christian and the team.”

The details of what the arrest was for are not clear, but it cannot be good.  Scott is in his 5th year of eligibility and received his diploma last year which means the academics/football balance is skewed in favor of football.  It stings for Texas fans that we will be without Christian’s leadership and athleticism until this incident has been finalized.  The team has already taken substantial losses at key positions and this will be yet another hole Mack and company will have to somehow fill.
