Texas has been looking to replace Bo Davis following his departure to LSU earlier this month. Steve Sarkisian appears to have settled on Davis’ replacement, hiring Miami Dolphins assistant DL coach Kenny Baker.
Baker joined the Dolphins for the 2023 season following a 3-year stint at Western Kentucky, the final two years in which he served as the DL coach. The Georgia native also spent 6 years as a DL coach in the FCS ranks, spending the first 5 years at Mercer and a single season at Chatanooga.
Baker played his college ball at Gardner-Webb from 2005-2008. He was a 3-year starter on the defensive line and was the defensive player of the year in 2007.
