On Saturday, the Longhorns looked lost in Fayetteville as the Razorbacks trounced Texas with a 40-21 win. Having fallen behind 16-0 by halftime, and not showing much promise in the second half, it would be difficult for the Longhorns to hang their hat on any aspect of Saturday’s contest.
From Texas’s opening drive, the Longhorns struggled to get anything going – on the ground or the air – as the offensive line struggled to get a push against Arkansas’s defensive front. However, Texas’s passing game in and of itself was inconsistent throughout the night as redshirt freshman Hudson Card was unable to find his groove. In fact, Steve Sarkisian ultimately pulled Card in favor of junior Casey Thompson who provided the team with two rushing touchdowns in just over a quarter of play.
