He played 4 games in 2021 and 1 game in 2022 with major shoulder injuries. He's had reconstructive surgery twice. Before the injuries, he was a helluva player for the Hogs.Saw Catalon play fairly recently...either this season or last. Kid is a beast. If I recall, the Longhorns were a contender for him before he chose the Hogs, right?
NCAA just made a very interesting hire to replace Emmert as head. A politician. You know his first job will be to get congress to pass legislation on what colleges are legally able to do and enforce. Without it the ncaa is nothing.NCAA is dead for college football and basketball. Toothless, barking dog. Unless your say “SFA”. Kansas and NC cheat at basketball and SFA gets games nullified. That’s just to show the little guy that the rules do apply to them.
So he's damaged goods. Thats too bad.He played 4 games in 2021 and 1 game in 2022 with major shoulder injuries. He's had reconstructive surgery twice. Before the injuries, he was a helluva player for the Hogs.
I don't know a lot about his shoulder injuries but the good would be it's not a lower body injury that may cause him to lose much speed or athleticism. Problem with the shoulder is how prone is it to recur with every major hit?So he's damaged goods. Thats too bad.
Two “reconstructive surgeries.” One on each shoulder?I don't know a lot about his shoulder injuries but the good would be it's not a lower body injury that may cause him to lose much speed or athleticism. Problem with the shoulder is how prone is it to recur with every major hit?
He was but stopped once he realized he'd be an NFL draft pick. Injuries happened on the football field but the wear and tear on them from baseball could have made them more at risk. Real tough break for him.The shoulder injuries are probably baseball related. He was a two sport athlete I thought.
Thought a broken leg ended his career after coming back from the shoulder injuries. Either way, never reached what he could have been as a result of the injuries.I remember a promising young safety for the cowboys named randy Hughes, who tore his shoulder up a couple of times. Ruined a promising career
Didn't see anything about a broken leg. In 1979, he disclocated his right shoulder. In 1980, he reinjured his right shoulder in pre-season and had it operated on twice that year. In 1981, he dislocated his right shoulder again in pre-season and retired prior to the start of the season.Thought a broken leg ended his career after coming back from the shoulder injuries. I wouldn't expect him to start. TCU is in the CFP. Bama, where he couldn't break into the depth chart at all, is not. This makes me think that Flood did not want to waste a scholarship on this one.
Surgery was a lot different then. That is ancient times.Didn't see anything about a broken leg. In 1979, he disclocated his right shoulder. Was one of the "dirty dozen" rookies who made the team in 1975.
He might have started for us when he chose Bama. We needed him then. Not so much now. This makes me think that Flood did not want to waste a scholarship on this one.
