Former LSU DT Zion Williams commits to Texas

The Texas Longhorns added a big piece to their defensive line, as homegrown Texas product and former LSU defensive tackle Zion Williams committed to the Longhorns out of the transfer portal.

Williams, a 6-4, 360 lb. native of Lufkin, Texas, signed with LSU in the early signing period in 2024 and was an early enrollee in Baton Rouge. He played in five games for the Tigers this past season before entering the transfer portal on January 5.

He joins former Arkansas DT Ian Geffrard as defensive line pickups in the transfer portal this cycle for the Longhorns.
