The Texas Stampede comes through again. And No. 8 for 2015 is in the bag.
Trinity High School (Euless, TX) Offensive Guard Patrick Vahe, has committed to the University of Texas, after attending the inaugural Longhorn Stampede on campus yesterday. Vahe, 6-4, 290 lbs., received an offer from the Longhorns in early May and was on campus Monday of last week taking tours and meeting with Texas coaches.
The Texas offer was the lone one for Vahe who earned All-American honors as a Sophomore at Trinity but nonetheless a much-deserved one. The kid is big and has serious speed for a player of his size. Vahe is currently ranked #21 in Lone Star Recruiting’s Top 100 for 2015, where he climbed 19 spots from his original ranking of #40 when the rankings first debuted in March.
Vahe becomes commit # 8 in the 2015 class and joins an already impressive set of offensive line recruits in the class. Offensive tackles Aaron Garza (Sherman) , Maea Teuhema (Keller) and Connor Lanfear (Buda) have already pledged to play football for the Longhorns. Trinity High School, a known high school powerhouse in the state, has won 3 state championships and appeared in another since 2005.
