The day after Texas beat Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, 2015 South Oak Cliff (Dallas) running back Jordan Stevenson pulled the trigger and committed to Mack Brown’s Longhorns. Â Stevenson is 5-8, 185 lbs. and transferred to South Oak Cliff from Dallas Skyline prior to the 2013 football season starting. Â He becomes the first running back commitment in a Texas class that is quickly filling up.
Stevenson has legitimate speed (runs a sub-4.4. 40 yard dash) and has great vision. Â He held offers from SMU, Utah State and Arkansas and Texas fans should expect more offers to come his way as he receives more attention nationally.
Stevenson is ranked the 18th best running back in Texas via the 247 Composite Rankings and the 30th best player in Texas according to Lone Star Recruiting’s Top 100 for 2015.
