The Longhorns landed a huge commitment from Corbin Daly, a punter with a booming leg from Ardey Kell High School in North Carolina on Friday. Daly averaged 45 yards per punt in his sophomore season and 47 yards per punt in his junior season for the Knights. While Daly’s only offer was from the Longhorns, he was being heavily recruited by Ohio State and a host of other programs. Daly is 6-3 & 190 lbs. and will head to Texas next season presumably behind Nick Rose and Williams Russ. Penn State transfer Anthony Fera is expected to handle first team punting responsibilities in the 2013 season after missing most of last season with a lingering groin injury.
