West Virginia University received a bit of love today as the university announced a settlement deal with the Big East which will allow the team to join the Big XII Conference officially in July. Reportedly the Big East will receive $20 million as a result of WVU’s departure, with the Big XII conference chipping in as much as half of the tab. With WVU’s legal wrangling settling down the Big XII can now focus on football schedules, which should be announced sometime today.  Stay tuned for additional details.
