http://www.bevoball.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/rg331.jpgThe Longhorn defense has been stout and ranks number one in the Big 12 in passing and rushing defense. They are second in scoring defense and seem to be getting better every week. Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III is the best player they will face this season and may be one of the best they have ever faced. His numbers are off the chart. He is completing 73% of his passes and has 34 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. Throw in his nearly 800 yards rushing and 7 rushing td’s and you have as complete a package that college football has seen.
Consider his QB ranking is 191 and that Vince Young’s was 163 in 2005. You then get a clearer picture of how good this kid is. What he doesn’t have is a defense. While Baylor’s offense is running up 43.1ppg, the defense is giving up 36.7 and the difference is only + 6.4 per game. Consider the offensively challenged Longhorns are at +8.1 and you get how really bad the Bear’s defense has been.
Watch closely Longhorn fans because we may never see his likes again.
