The University of Texas announced the return of three key contributors for their senior seasons, all who will be key cogs in year one under Coach Charlie Strong.

#88 Cedric Reed, 6-6 265lbs – The 2013 1st team All Big 12 selection started all 13 games this season. His impressive stat line for the year included 79 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 16 quarterback pressures, 10 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

#6 Quandre Diggs 5-10 200lbs – The 2013 All Big 12 selection started 12 games this season. He had 58 tackles, four tackles for loss, 2 ½ sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

#28 Malcolm Brown 6-0 225lbs – The 2013 second team All Big 12 selection carried 214 times for 904 yards and nine touchdowns. He also caught 17 passes for 195 yards and two more scores. Brown was an absolute work horse in the backfield this season, especially after Johnathan Gray went down for the season.

Huge news today from the 40 acres. The return of Malcolm Brown is a big thing for the offense, if nothing else for his tough, hard nosed attitude. Brown is a guy who can set the tone for that side of the ball, the tone Charlie Strong wants in Austin. Hook Em.
