About Oklahoma State:

Record: 11-3

Quality wins: Memphis.

Bad Losses: South Carolina.

Overview:

Oklahoma State was picked 8th in the preseason Big 12 polls. The Cowboys have won all the games that they were supposed to win and lost one they were not supposed to lose (on the road in Columbia, South Carolina).

The Pokes are led by junior Phil Forte. Once again, he is leading the Cowboys in scoring and three point percentage. LeBryan Nash is also a consistent force in the Oklahoma State front-court. Nash and Forte are the only two Cowboys in double figures for the year.

Prediction

The Texas Longhorns received an unexpected beating on Monday night against the Oklahoma Sooners. The ‘Horns will undoubtedly plummet in the rankings, and how they respond in Stillwater will determine just how big of a fall they make. Oklahoma State is a better basketball team than Texas Tech. If the Texas Longhorns think they can go into Stillwater and pull off the easy win, they are mistaken. Either the Longhorns got the wake up call they needed since the Kentucky game, or the team that was blown out by the Sooners is what Rick Barnes has to work with moving forward. I think the former is the case but it will prove very difficult to win in Stillwater.

I predict a very close game with Texas winning 64-60.
