It did not take long for the addition of Quinn Ewers to impact Steve Sarkisian’s QB room. Junior QB Casey Thompson chose to enter the transfer portal Friday afternoon after starting 10 games for Texas in 2021.
This past season, Thompson threw for 2,113 yards to go along with 24 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Despite not opening the season as the starter, Thompson in played in each of Texas’ first two games before starting the remainder of the season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
