First year University of Texas Men’s Basketball coach Chris Beard and his team will begin the upcoming season ranked at #5 in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll. The preseason ranking is the highest the Longhorns have held since they were ranked third in the 2009-2010 season.
Other Big 12 teams earning spots in the poll include the Kansas Jayhawks (No.3) and the Baylor Bears (No. 8).
The Longhorns will begin the regular season on November 9th against Houston Baptist University at the Frank Erwin Center with tipoff scheduled for 8:00 PM.
