Two weeks ago the Washington Huskies beat the Texas Longhorns 77-71 on foreign soil. On Thanksgiving Night in the Bahamas the Longhorns evened the score with an 82-70 victory over the Huskies.
After taking a 15-13 lead midway through the first half on a Connor Lammert layup, the Longhorns would hold that lead for the remainder of the game. The Longhorns struggled from the free throw line in the loss to Texas A&M but improved on that performance by shooting 71.4% from the stripe against Washington.
Freshman guard Eric Davis had another big night for the Longhorns with 15 points which lead the team in scoring. Senior center Cameron Ridley notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and guards Isaiah Taylor and Javan Felix had 14 and 13 points respectively in the win over the Huskies.
Washington senior guard Andrew Andrews led all players in scoring with a 20 point scoring performance.
The Longhorns turned the ball over ten times compared to 18 by the Huskies.
Texas will return to the court tomorrow night at 6:00 PM to face the winner of the Charlotte vs. Michigan game.
