The Oklahoma Sooners (6-0, 3-0) defeated the Texas Longhorns (4-2, 2-1) at the Cotton Bowl to maintain an undefeated record on the 2019 season. Oklahoma racked up 511 yards of total offense, and Sooner wide receiver Cee Dee Lamb caught three touchdown passes en route to a 34-27 victory over the Longhorns. Jalen Hurts threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 131 yards and a score. Texas forced two turnovers on Hurts, but had trouble moving the ball against Oklahoma’s defense.
Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger finished with 210 yards passing and -9 yards rushing with two touchdowns on the ground. Running back Roschon Johnson rushed 6 times for 91 yards and a touchdown to lead Texas in rushing. The Longhorns managed just 83 yards of offense in the first half, and finished the day with 310 total yards of offense.
The Longhorns will host the Kansas Jayhawks next weekend at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
