The Longhorns dominated the game with an efficient 55.8% shooting from the field, including 53.8% from beyond the arc, setting a season high for three-point shooting accuracy.
Key contributors included Dailyn Swain and Matas Vokietaitis, both recording double-doubles to fuel the Longhorns’ success. Swain led the team with 21 points and 10 rebounds, marking his sixth double-double of the season, while Vokietaitis added 17 points and 10 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. Tramon Mark and Jordan Pope also played crucial roles, each scoring 18 points and showcasing steady scoring ability throughout the game. The team’s defensive effort was highlighted by Mark’s season-high three steals, and Texas maintained control with a plus-7 rebound margin and a commanding 15-4 edge in second-chance points.
Texas built a significant lead by halftime, shooting an impressive 63% from the field and 66.7% from three-point range in the first 20 minutes, which helped them maintain the upper hand despite LSU’s late push.
