Keke Coutee, the 2015 wide receiver/ cornerback from Lufkin High School took advantage of a scholarship offer that was extended in early May. At UT’s minicamp today the speedy athlete gave his verbal commitment to play in Austin in 2015. Coutee is 5-10, 180 lbs. and plays both sides of the ball for the Panthers but was recruited by Texas as a defensive back. Coutee held offers from rival Big 12 programs Oklahoma and Texas Tech but Texas has been his favorite ever since he was offered a scholarship.
A lot of possibilities for the speedster on the field but most likely Coutee follows in the footsteps of fellow Lufkin Panther and Texas cornerback Carrington Byndum in the secondary.
S/O another Lufkin boy will be making that trip to the ATX for some college football!! Congrats @thekekecoutee
