Kyle Hicks, Arlington Martin running back and Rivals 4-star prospect, has switched his commitment to play football at The University of Texas and instead has selected Texas Christian University. Hicks was the only running back recruited in the Texas 2013 class which now stands at a lean 14 commits with Hicks’ flip to the Horned Frogs. Hicks, who is recovering from an ACL tear sustained in late October, will be playing closer to home at Amon Carter Stadium and will also be reunited with former high school teammate and current TCU defensive end Devonte Fields.
The Longhorns are currently well-equipped at the running back position with sophmore Malcolm Brown, sophmore Joe Bergeron and freshman Johnathan Gray. Eisenhower High School (Houston) running back Donald “Duke” Catalon and All Saints Episcopal High School (Fort Worth) fullback Daniel Gresham have committed to join Texas as part of the 2014 class.
