There is finally clarity into the extent of junior lineback Jordan Hicks’ hip injury and whether or not he would return this season. The answer came today in Mack Brown’s weekly press conference when he announced Hicks would not play again this season, mentioning that the university will apply for a medical redshirt on Hicks’ behalf. Since the injury was season-ending and occured early in the season (during the team’s 3rd game of the season – against Ole Miss) the granting of a medical redshirt for his junior season seems very likely.
Hicks had registered 17 total tackles this season prior to the injury.
