On Sunday evening head coach Mack Brown announced quarterback Case McCoy and linebacker Jordan Hicks have been reinstated to the team, according to a release by the university.
Both McCoy and Hicks missed the Longhorns’ 31-27 victory over the Oregon State Beavers as they were sent home the day before the game for violating team rules. Later it was confirmed that Hicks and McCoy were at the center of a sexual assault investigation that occurred while the team was in San Antonio.
It appears any legal proceedings against either player in conjunction with the investigation have died down or been dropped.
Hicks was injured in the win over Ole Miss game September 15th in Oxford and did not return to the field for the rest of the season. McCoy played in several games this season as the backup to quarterback David Ash.
