Jaxon Shipley – Picking Up Where Big Brother Left Off (VIDEO)

While the Texas Longhorns are trying to overcome last week’s blowout loss to Oklahoma, the future is still bright for this young Texas football team. In looking at the array of freshman and sophmores on the team, none stand out more than freshman wide-out Jaxon Shipley. The younger brother of former star Texas wide receiver and current Cincinnati Bengals wideout Jordan Shipley seems to possess the speed, route running perfection and toughness his older brother put forth while donning the burnt orange jersey. True, Jaxon is just a freshman but Longhorn fans have good reason to believe that he will be a strong contributor to this team for many years to come. Unless you look closely, you would think Jordan Shipley had successfully petitioned the NCAA for a 7th year of eligibility. As the quarterback position improves at Texas, expect Shipley’s numbers to increase as well.  If he is half as good as his brother, Texas is in good shape.
