HornSports Friday Pre-Game Happy Hour – YOU are Invited!

Football season is here and with it comes the state of Louisiana – at least for the first two games.  With that being said, our annual Happy Hour will take place on Friday, September 6th, at the Black Sheep Lodge. You are all invited to join us in having a little fun before the Texas vs. LSU game the next day.  Like last time, the beer is on us until our supply runs out.  Why Black Sheep?  Because it’s the Black Sheep…. and the food is fantastic…. and the owner is a cool, cool dude that doesn’t mind having us around.

Here’s the real rub…… 

In looking at how we can make this a little more enjoyable for all while doing it for a damn good cause, we will have a couple of ways to purchase merchandise at the event – when you purchase merchandise you will be supporting The Heart Gallery of Central Texas (a program of Partnerships for Children). PFC is an Austin 501©(3) nonprofit that offer resources, support and comfort for foster children and families in our community.

About The Heart Gallery

The Heart Gallery of Central Texas is a portrait exhibit and community education/outreach initiative featuring children in the foster care system who are waiting for adoption. We work to find forever families for children through direct recruitment opportunities and education of foster and adoptive families. At the core of this outreach is a simple picture. But, it’s anything but simple. Our volunteer photographers capture a child’s spirit in every shot, bringing to life their beautiful personalities in ways that words cannot. They say, “I’m here. And I’m special.”

The really cool thing about the Heart Gallery is it is increased adoption rates by 60% in Central Texas!

SO WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

Just show up!  That’s all you have to do.  The beer is still free (while supplies last) and if you want to purchase any merchandise, 15% of anything purchased goes directly to Partnerships for Children.

What’s for sale?

The great thing about something like this is it draws in all kinds of great people.  Mike Murphy from Last Stand Hatswill be onsite selling merchandise and has generously agreed to donate 15% of everything sold to Partnerships for Children.

We will also be selling our Texas Kneauxs Football t-shirts for $20 (with 15% of the proceeds going to PFC).

RAFFLE FOR AUTOGRAPHED MEMORABILIA AND FOOTBALL TICKETS

We will be selling raffle tickets to win Longhorn memorabilia and tickets to 2 Texas Football games (Oklahoma State and Kansas) with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Partnerships for Children.
