Shane Buechele threw for 171 yards and a touchdown and the Longhorns intercepted Iowa State quarterback Jacob Park 3 times to leave Jack Trice Stadium in Ames with a 17-7 win.
The Longhorns improve to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in Big 12 play and continue to ride the backs of Todd Orlando’s defense, as the Texas offense is still in search of an identity.
Chris Warren added a rushing touchdown and Toneil Carter caught a 22 yard touchdown pass in the victory.
