The purge part 2

I don't have an account at Scout but I would really like to see Chip's original reports. From reading other forums, it sounds like Chip initially said there were already suspensions for these 3 players. If Chip is hedging now with "3 players could possibly be suspended", he should catch hell. You would have thought Chip would have learned his lesson from past mistakes.
hey my pal, check out your pm...

One small ray of light

Donta Foreman may have qualified

Anyone know anything different on this?

I'd like to see a copy of the letter he claims was sent from the coaches at the San Angelo Clinic who said they never wanted CFS back again .. . .

That was one coach, and he turned out to be an aggy good old boy. But yea, there was a letter.

NTG, I don't know, I didn't ask.

I know he's your friend but the story implied it was from multiple coaches. . .

Level 2 from a friend of the man who founded hte clinic and his son who is involved in the operation, the story as reported was bullshit. . .

That your buddy ran the article coming from some racist aggie (ok, I put the racist part in but flack the agroids and the sheep they ride in on). . . is crap .. . . .I know, he's trying to stay relevant. . . not the 1st time he's played fast and loose with the truth . . .

Some good news.

Texas S Josh Turner reportedly still part of the team

Josh Turner has not been dismissed from Texas' football team.

On Friday, it was reported that Turner was one of four Longhorns dismissed by coach Charlie Strong. However Turner hadn't apparently had the chance to meet with Strong and on Wednesday, Orangebloods.com reported that Turner was still part of the team.

"He's grateful to be part of the program, to have the opportunity to finish his degree. He's close to getting his degree and he's very happy about that," Kevin Cox, a former high school football coach of Turner's told Orangebloods. "He's excited about having the chance to better himself as a person and a student.

"He's still on the team and he's very thankful that things turned out the way they have."

A senior in 2014, Turner was set to start at safety for Texas. He had 37 tackles in 12 games last season.

RB Joe Bergeron was one of the players dismissed from the team last week and he's received his unconditional release from the school. According to Orangebloods, Bergeron attempted to appeal his dismissal from the school and the appeal was denied.

Texas coach Charlie Strong is giving safety Josh Turner another chance and reinstating him back to the team, a source familiar with the situation said Wednesday.

Strong made his final decision after he and the player had a midday meeting on Wednesday. The agreement comes with some caveats, though. Turner must follow strict rules, something akin to a zero-tolerance policy with the coaching staff, to remain in good standing, the source said.

Turner’s problems started in earnest when he had a verbal altercation with strength coach Pat Moorer earlier this summer, the source said. Turner was one of the players subject to 5 a.m. workouts for those that Strong “banned†from the team’s workout facilities.

It was learned Friday that Turner, a senior from Oklahoma City, was one of four players that Strong had dismissed from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules. Turner kept communicating with the coaching staff and wanted to stay, the source said, but he also began exploring his transfer options.

Running back Joe Bergeron, who was also dismissed last Friday, has been given his full release from his UT scholarship, according to a source close to Bergeron. West Texas A&M athletic director Micheal McBroom told the American-Statesman that his school received the proper paperwork from UT on Wednesday afternoon that his school could contact Bergeron.

It’s unclear what will happen to the other two players dismissed last week — safety Chevoski Collins and running back Jalen Overstreet.

Texas officials have not confirmed that any of the four players were dismissed. Their names still appear on the team’s online roster.

Good to hear about Turner. . .have to trust CFS . .. .

If there is one player I thought would have relished life with CFS is was Joe Bergeron . . .I wish him well in his future endeavors. . . grateful for what he brought us. .

Stories are fluid. Details change as the story unfolds or develops. This is no different than what any mainstream reporter goes through.

You take an interesting approach to news. You take initial details and try to hold the reporter to that info, despite the available information changing to the contrary. Do you want accuracy or do you just want things to not change?

Additionally, he's a middle man. You're the receiver, he's the conduit from another to you. Understanding that, are you accusing him of changing things said to him so that he then has the ability to play fast and loose with someone else's information? Or are you suggesting the Kevin is himself the Big Cigar and the whole interview thing is but a charade?

I'm not real close to Kevin, but know enough about him and what he does to say that the "glory boy" image you try to cast on him is just inaccurate. Kevin could walk away from IT any day and still be relevant. He doesn't make stuff up. He doesn't create stuff that isn't there. He simply tells you what decision makers say to him.

No offense but this is bullshit. . . .

Hay Suess posted a story. . .it implied the letter was written (if any letter actually exists. . I tend to doubt an aggie isn't even stupid enough to put his name on it) to the powers that be at belmont FROM the staff at the San Angelo coaches clinic they did not want CFS to return .. .

No such letter was EVER written by the staff in San Angelo. . . .. . . and this isn't speculation on my part but rather was confirmed by a player parent who has known the people running that clinic for decades

Of course few "main stream" reporters would ever pass along such a bullshit claim .. . . BTW, I hold any reporter to the same standard and when they have a habit of playing fast and loose with the truth (see Skip Bayless) they are worthy of ridicule and mockery. . . .

This is nowhere near a "fluid" situation. . either the SA staff wrote a letter or they didn't. . . .and they say they didn't .. . .thus I can only conclude (well if we are using logic) that Hay Suess made up the story .. . .

As for Hay-Suess being a "glory boy". . . . .don't know, don't really care. . .his track record as a wannabe insider largely sucks . .. this situation did nothing but confirm yet another reason I left IT and outside of Coach Culpepper's column, could care less about going back short of Gerry Hamilton buying the place out and getting rid of the driftwood. . . .

The AAS says one of the reasons Turner became a target was due to an altercation with Pat * Moorer
Turner must've failed a drug test shortly after if he was dumb enough to mix it up with Coach Moorer. He had to have been high
