West Virginia had a very good game last week. K-State isn't fading, they're a good team. And WV beat them up, scored some TOs, and won convincingly. I don't take that lightly.

We hit an emotional high with the win over Okie State in OT. I wonder if we'll be equally up for this game.

Keep an eye on the WV DL. Very quick unit that gets to the ball. We may have some running game problems.

All that said, I want to pick Texas, being at home. But this is exactly the set up that bites Herman in the behind.

West Virginia 34

Texas 29

I see the defense gaining confidence and being ready to play this game.  I really feel Ash has this defense trending upwards (at least the front 7).  WVU doesn't scare me.  Play the same philosophy you employed against OSU in stopping the run and their offense will sputter.  They don't have a Wallace or an athletic QB to worry about.

Offense needs to run the ball, but it will be tough against a stout DL. Lots of Bijan, Jake Smith and Jared Whiley to move the ball.  If we have screen plays, run them.  Those Dlinemen for WVU like to get up the field.  Use it and get in behind them.

Texas 31

WVU. 21

We would have trouble running against Flato elementary,in spite of having very talented RB’s

I picked okst last week. Horns won in OT. Im still not a believer in TH a broken clock is right twice a day everyday.

Wv 47

Texas 42

Really not sure what to make of West Virginia. They have played 3 games in which the other team's starting QB did not play and lost 2 of those games losing to both Okie State and TTech. KState was the other one.

Forgive us for following the norm. I fully expect us to lay an egg at any point.
The only norm I see is that you none of you guys predicted Texas to beat Baylor, Okie State, or West Virginia ? And saying that you expect us to lay an egg at any point just means that you can claim you were right whenever it does happen.

But to Dillo's credit, he was at least consistent. He did predict that Texas would lose those 3 games by the same amount of 21 points and give up over 40 points in each of those games. Man, he was just so close to being right ?

LOL, if it's working for the team, why would I change? I'm willing to take one for the team on this.

In all seriousness though, the defense has definitely improved.

Yea, I'm just messing with you guys trying to have a little fun knowing full well that I'm just setting myself up for you guys to return the favor the first chance you get. As you should, lol. It's all in good fun.

Fair enough. But we have been trained by past experience to expect it.

I hope we win every single game we ever play, during every season through the end of time. That sums up my feelings. I would love to tell this board I wasn't right when the season is over. That will mean we're Big 12 champions.

Which will be fun for about 48 hours then the reality of Herman returning would set in... And sadly he is right back on the hot seat 2-3 games in 2021 and likely fired and recruiting is a complete disaster.. We then hire row your boat guy and we repeat the entire process in 4 years... Good times..
