The fourth ranked Texas Longhorns (10-1, 4-0) return to the hardwood on Wednesday evening, looking to defend a perfect Big 12 record as they host #15 Texas Tech (10-3, 3-2).

Texas downed West Virginia 72-70 in Morgantown last Saturday, improving its record to 4-0 in games decided by three points or less.

Texas Tech won back-to-back Big 12 matchups against Kansas State and Iowa State last week.

The Longhorns are 5-1 at the Frank Erwin Center this season, with the team's lone loss coming at the hands of #3 Villanova in early December.  Texas Tech has won the last two games in Austin and 5 of the last 6 overall.

Let's keep this train rolling. This team might be running on fumes between the emotions of the KU and WVU games, but I think they refuse to go down without a fight.

Agreed. Yet another big test. Schedule lightens up for 2 weeks after this but would be nice to have a win going into it!

Maybe he’ll have a chance to shine there. Gotta look at the positive
Unfortunately, he has Love and Drummond in front of him on the depth chart. I think Love is coming back from his calf injury soon too. That said, you have a point. Maybe he gets some more PT on a bad team.

Also, it would be really nice if we could win tonight and run the table heading into the Baylor game at the beginning of February. That would create a hell of a matchup.

Good 1st half for the Horns. Hope they keep the intensity going in the 2nd half.

Good half. I still wish we did something other than one on one or high pick and roll on offense but the game is changing. I’m seeing much more of that in HS when I watch my nephew. They do throw it in to the post this year which was almost nonexistent in previous years. This team is FUN to watch! I’m becoming a believer.

One more half like the first please. Tech won’t go away
