I'm not happy about it but if he's not going to come here I'd prefer he stay there. It's important for our conference that someone steps up and becomes relevant and of all the options I think I'm most okay with that being Baylor. I certainly didn't want him to go to aggy because he would have turned them into MNC material (you know, like he's dong at freaking BAYLOR!!).

I wish we could have gotten him no doubt about it.

Now I'd like David Shaw, I think. Saban isn't coming.

I just don't see the allure of Tomlin, his teams have failed recently and we can do much better...

heard buyout is somewhere close to 20million. Very very smart move by Bu. If Briles isnt coming to Texas than i would rather him stay at BU than go to Aggie or anywhere else. Very good Coach!

Briles was by 1B to Saban. Not sure he will have a Texas out, like he was rumored to have in his first Bu deal.

Bu is here to stay and thats a great thing for the Big 12 and Texas.
