2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

If they've definitely made up their mind not to take a second quarterback I don't quite understand why they had him come in.

Short video interview with 4* corner Kris Boyd

This is after a Tech camp but he mentions Horns when prompted

It's early but 2016 RB Sewo Olonilua (6'2, 215) of Kingwood lists us as leader

Lodge was effectively a Texas commit so long as Wyatt was in Austin.
But once Wyatt was sent packing, Lodge would not even visit.

2015 dual-threat QB Will Collins (6'2, 193, with 4.87 40) of Lawton, OK will be on campus tomorrow for an unofficial visit.

"Like every athlete in Lawton, Will Collins can sometimes get overlooked.  Whether you’re at Lawton High, Lawton MacArthur or Lawton Eisenhower, being way down in southern Oklahoma doesn’t get the same attention the metro areas get.  Don’t overlook this 2015 gem.  Collins doesn’t have the picture perfect size like some other QB prospects.  However his size doesn’t limit his abilities.  Collins will need to continue to work on his arm strength but he’s building important momentum into the summer months.  Collins was thrilled to have the opportunity to work under Dilfer and company.  “It was very intense,†Collins said.  “Talk about a guy who wants to get down and fix what you’re doing wrong.  He was so in to what was going and so intense, I really loved it.â€

People can spin this however they want but we're getting our asses kicked in recruiting. I know it's Mack's fault & Strong has only been on the job 6 months.
Sumlin seems to be running a post-O'Bannon program, betting the NCAA's control on amateurism is going to end sooner, as opposed to later. Bring in kids who don't have a shot at actually getting a degree and let them take online blowoff classes to stay eligible, ignore failed drug tests and consider the ones who end up in jail as a cost of doing business. If the amateurism rules get tossed, players aren't going to have to worry about classes and are no longer going to be drug tested. The rules Strong is applying seem to be for a team of the past.

As it stands now, I have the same opinion of most of the decent high school football talent out there and I give the Charlie Strong experiment a stinking D-.

I get it he wants to say he cares about the kids and that is why he has the rules he does. Great. He was hired to be the football coach, not a $5 mil/yr guidance counselor. The argument we need to write off the next few seasons and wait until the fall of 2017 to judge the wisdom of hiring coach strong (after he has had a year to coach up his 2016 recruit class) isn't going to fly. He can't compete in recruiting, I don't believe in Shawn Watson as the offensive genius and I'm wondering when some one is going to publicly point out to Charlie Strong he seems to be foundering so we can see if he even realizes the situation he seems to be in.

I hope I am pleasantly surprised, but as it stands now, the hiring of Charlie Strong deserves a failing grade and has all the signs of a huge mistake.

We haven't played a down yet under Charlie Strong and he's already a failure.  Good grief...the sky is falling.

Unnecessary hand-wringing over a couple of recruits

Look I don't know you and I'm sure your just a fustrated Longhorn fan and I get that, but damm man we haven't even played a freaking football game yet....

For the record I know things on the recruiting front have been not pleasant .... but I'm going to go through a season before I start grading Coach Strong.... but heck what do I know.

A couple of recruits?! 12 of 14 players being recruited by aggy and UT chose aggy. That would be the overwhelming majority of recruits, not just "a few" and they aren't just "recruits", they are the highest rated prospects in the state. Charlie Strong is getting rejected by the exact type of player he wants to run his system. How is not getting the players you think you need to succeed anything other than a huge red flag?

A couple of recruits? How about just every kid in the top 25 in the state of of Texas going elsewhere with most going to aggie.
