The Longhorns received their third special teams commitment of the day out of the transfer portal, securing their replacement for punter Jack Bouwmeester, who exhausted his final year of eligibility this season.
Former Florida State kicker Mac Chiumento announced his commitment to the Longhorns via his Instagram, finalizing special teams coordinator Jeff Banks’ specialists for the 2026 season.

Chiumento, a 6-4, 221 lb. native of Daytona Beach, Florida, averaged 44 yards per punt in 2025, with 13 punts landing inside the 20.
He was a member of the 2022 recruiting class and redshirted his freshman season. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Chiumento joins former Arkansas DT Ian Geffrard, former New Mexico longsnapper Trey DuBuc and former Memphis kicker Gianni Spetic as transfer portal commitments on the day.
