Daje Johnson has officially received a scholarship offer by The University of Texas and accepted that offer while on his official visit to the school today, reports ESPN’s Horns Nation. A few weeks ago Johnson seemed intent on keeping his commitment to TCU and brushing aside the idea that he would play at Texas or anywhere else. Johnson has been a Texas Christian University commit since March of 2011 but it appears the late push by the Longhorns and an impressive trip to Austin sealed the deal.  Daje played cornerback and running back primarily in high school but it is unclear how the Longhorns will utilize his talents on the filed. The potentials are unlimited, as Johnson has exceptional speed and hands. Daje is an excellent pickup for Mack Brown and Texas which already possess a stellar recruiting class.
