The point on a brisket is typically the fattiest cut. Pitmasters often trim the point (and select edges) off a brisket and return those pieces to the smoker.
Are burnt ends tough, chewy worthless cuts of meat, or are they heavenly bites of smoky goodness? It depends on who you ask…
Rather than discard the trimmings and fat, we choose to savor all the information that flows through the site. So, sit down and help yourself to some burnt ends.

Two Texas commits faced off last Friday when Tope Imade led Arlington Bowie against Shane Buechele and Arlington Lamar. The exciting game resulted in a 30-23 victory for Lamar on the strength of Buechele’s accurate passing. We spoke with both Imade and Buechele following the game, and we were also able to get an opinion of Buechele’s skillset from the opposing coach. Arlington Bowie head coach Danny DeArman was frustrated after the loss, citing missed opportunities and turnovers, but he also couldn’t help but gush over the Lamar signal caller.
